Co-Designing HIV Prevention for Latine LGBTQ+ Communities
Coordinating community engagement for an HIV prevention campaign that centered Latine LGBTQ+ voices in Chicago. I scheduled and documented community partner sessions, designed bilingual recruitment materials, and helped translate community insights into a social marketing campaign that reached 118,750+ people and won national recognition. This project demonstrates how participatory design methods can address health equity challenges while honoring cultural complexity.

Systems Approach to Participant Retention
When participant retention dropped to 13% in a longitudinal health study with Black LGBTQ+ communities, I redesigned the operational infrastructure from the ground up. A case study in systems design, operational UX, and human-centered problem solving that improved retention to 32% while revealing critical insights about community health during the pandemic.
